    Dr. Troast worked for the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for over 30 years as scientist and manager. He retired as a senior scientist within the Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response (OSWER) focusing on control of hazardous waste. He was the recipient of several EPA awards for outstanding contributions during his tenure with the Agency.
