Dr. David Homesley, MD, is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and specializes in minimally invasive total joint replacements and adult hip and knee reconstruction. He is Fellowship trained in Hip and Knee Replacements. He has been published in The Journal of Arthroplasty, The American Journal of Orthopedics, and the American Journal of Sports Medicine.

Dr. Homesley is the Chairman of the Orthopedic Hospital at Presbyterian Hospital and Chairman of the Smith Arthritis Committee. He serves on the Infection Control and Credentialing Committees at Mercy Main Hospital. Dr. Homesley is a member of the North Carolina Medical Society, American Medical Association, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and American Association for Hip and Knee Surgeons.

He has extensive experience in total joint replacement, as well as reconstructive surgery of the knee, hip and shoulder. He was instrumental in bringing computer navigation technology to his hospital. He has served on the orthopedic trauma staff at Mercy San Juan Medical Center and serves on the Medical Executive Comitee at Mercy San Juan. Dr. Michael R. Klein, Jr., M.D., specializes in Orthopedic Surgery and is a founding member and the first Medical Director of Northern California Orthopedic Centers. He is a senior member of the medical staff at Mercy San Juan Medical Center and was involved with the development of the orthopedic section of the Level II Trauma Center.

Dr. Klein is a clinical instructor at University of California, Davis, Medical Center, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a member of the American Medical Association and the California Medical Association.

John E. (Jack) Handelsman, MD, FRCS, MCh Orth is Chief Emeritus of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at the Children’s Hospital of the North Shore/Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Chairman Emeritus of the Orthopaedic Department. With over 40 years of experience, Dr. Handelsman serves as a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Pediatrics at the School of Medicine at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York and as a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery, at New York University School of Medicine in New York

Dr. Handelsman has given presentations on Pediatric Orthopaedics at national and international meetings. He has published papers and abstracts in noted medical journals and organized and directed major Pediatric Orthopaedic CME Programs at hospitals along the East coast. Dr. Handelsman has received honors and awards for his commitment to research in his field of expertise.

Dr. Regina Hillsman is Board Certified and also, as of 1992, became Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Hillsman is a general orthopaedist, with particular interest in hand / foot, back, and sports medicine injuries. Dr. Hillsman, unique in that she is a female orthopaedist, has particular interest in osteoporosis and in calcium patients’ in the regard.

Dr. Hillsman, due to her background with extensive industrial training in the State of Connecticut, has had a broad proficiency and expertise in Workman’s Compensation injuries. This includes industrial injuries, sprains and strains. Dr. Hillsman is also a member of the American Academy of Disability and Evaluation Physicians as well as The American Back Society.
