At What Point in Time Should an Industrial Design Expert Be Retained in a Lawsuit?
Because of the current economic climate, I understand that clients are directing their attorneys to hold off retaining the services of experts until the very last minute, thereby supposedly holding down expert costs. Is this really to anyone’s advantage? Does this practice actually save any money?

How Attorneys Should Choose Crate Experts
An attorney involved with crate litigation might readily recognize the need for a packaging expert, yet, not be sufficiently aware of the specific knowledge and capabilities that best qualify that expert.

    8/20/2007 · Product Liability
    Packaging and Product Liability
A more appropriate term would be packaged product liability, because a packaged product consists of product + package, and either component (or both) can incur allegations of negligence, strict liability, and failure to warn

Dr. Martin Moore-Ede is a leading expert on Human / Driver Fatigue and Driver Error in Transportation Accidents, including commercial motor vehicles (truck, bus and motorcoach), automobiles, marine vessels (ship, tugboat), rail locomotives (freight and passenger), public transit vehicles (bus, light rail, commuter rail) and aviation equipment (commercial, cargo and private aircraft).

As a Harvard professor for 25 years, Dr. Moore-Ede conducted the pioneering research investigating the role of fatigue as a leading cause of fatal and high cost accidents on highways (including single vehicle, hit-rear and driver inattention accidents), and of train derailments, collisions at sea, and human errors in aviation. He has published 10 books, and 125 scientific papers on human fatigue, errors and accidents and the physiology of sleep deprivation and circadian rhythms. He has served on multiple national and international committees, and has received numerous awards. He is a frequent guest on television (CNN, Today Show, Good Morning America, 20:20, Dateline, Oprah Winfrey, Nova, BBC) radio (NPR Fresh Air, Connection), and print media (Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Time and Newsweek).
