Insurance Broker, starting at Lloyds of London and for the past 12 years as the owner of an insurance brokerage firm,
International Energy Insurance Brokers, with offices in U.S. West and East coasts.
Mr. Newman provides
Insurance and
Risk Management Counsel to his clients operating in every aspect of the global energy industry, representing oil company clients to their insurers and reinsurers in the U.S. and London insurance markets. He works closely with Board Directors and senior management in planning risk management for a broad range of corporate goals, including:

Mr. Newman is an active participant in interest and lobbying groups in the energy and environmental industries and has presented at International Energy Credit Association, RIMS and California Office of Oil Spill Prevention and Response Recovery conferences. He has worked to balance the demands of a wide range of stakeholders - regulators at the Federal level (Mineral Management Services), State (the Texas Railroad Commission and California Department of Fish & Game) and local levels, environmental interests, industry and the global insurance market that underwrites the risks.
Mr. Newman holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in Law from Cambridge University and an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California (U.S.C. Marshall School of Business). He has U.K. and U.S. citizenship.
