Mort Westman is a
Cosmetic Chemist with more than 35 years experience in the design, formulation, testing, government regulation and commercialization of cosmetic products - both retail and professional. His expertise encompasses the full spectrum of skin care and hair care products, including such highly specialized categories as hair bleach, hair color, hair relaxer, hair straightener, permanent wave, depilatory and cosmetic aerosol products.
Westman gained strategic knowledge of the cosmetic industry in positions varying from bench chemist to vice-president and corporate officer. This expertise enabled him to successfully confront an extensive array of challenges varying from the development and launch of numerous successful products, to serving the industry’s major trade association as director of cosmetic sciences, and providing technical expert services during litigation.
