At What Point in Time Should an Industrial Design Expert Be Retained in a Lawsuit?
Because of the current economic climate, I understand that clients are directing their attorneys to hold off retaining the services of experts until the very last minute, thereby supposedly holding down expert costs. Is this really to anyone’s advantage? Does this practice actually save any money?

  • Brand Identification: Be Smart, Be Simple
Today's world is cluttered with messages. In this enviromnent, Rob Wallace urges simplicity. Powerful brands cut through perceptional noise with a memorably iconic and minimalist approach to colors and symbols. Case studies amplify the principles he advocates, and a three-step process outlines specific criteria managers can use to build designs that are visually clean and engaging.

Proving Our Value: Measuring Package Design's Return On Investment
I've spent the better part of 20 years on the package/brand identity design pulpit. With my colleagues in corporate and consultant design, I have tried to spread the gospel of package design's pre-eminent role in communicating the brand's core identity, its emotional essence, and its primary connection to consumers.

Blood, Sweat and Tiers: Building Optimal Brand Identity Architectures
Brand extensions are more than twice as likely to succeed as new brands. With mega-brands like Crest extending to more than 80 SKUs in the United States alone and over 300 products worldwide, today's brands are not just expanding-they are hyper-proliferating.

Tried & True: Heinz turns iconic authenticity into fresh relevance.
The value of being the genuine original cannot be overstated. Behaviorists like Malcolm Gladwell and Barry Schwartz recognize that in a sea of newness, we consumers find comfort in brands that are consistent, honest and real. We immediately recognize their familiar identities

Accident Reconstruction For Off-Road All Terrain Vehicles (ATV's)
During 1990, the Specialty Vehicle Institute of America (SVIA) with the assistance of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) published the first standard for ATVs referred to as ANSI/SVIA-1-1990. During 2001, ANSI/SVIA revised this standard referred to as standard ANSI/SVIA 1-2001. The standard was revised again during 2007 and again in 2010 and is referred to as standard ANSI/SVIA 1-2010.

Synopsis: The Basic Process Of A Traffic Accident Reconstruction
A Traffic Accident Reconstruction is a process by which an engineer determines from all available information and evidence how and why a traffic accident occurred including but not limited to pre-impact and post impact vehicular velocity vectors, pre-impact and post impact vehicular direction vectors, vehicular change in velocity (Delta-V), momentum vectors, vehicles' point of impact on the roadway, vehicular visibility by a driver, vehicular crash data retrieval reports if assessable, accident factors and causes.

Product Design, Product Manufacturing And Product Quality Control Issues
Quality control starts at the point of product conception and is carried all the way through to the final design and manufacture of a product.

    Automotive Lamp Filament Analysis
Some motor vehicle accidents take place during the night time hours when natural sun light is not present.

    The Physics Of Collision
When we drive our vehicles down the road, we are driving them at a certain velocity and direction. All vehicles have weight and mass to the order of a few hundred pounds for a motorcycle, a few thousand pounds for a large SUV or luxury car or several tons for a tractor-trailer truck. When our vehicles move at speed down the road, they create energy by virtue of their mass and forward velocity
