Gerard Busnuk, CPP
, is an experienced police and security professional.
He has earned a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Baltimore, and has completed all the course work in PhD program in Policy Sciences at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
Mr. Busnuk retired at the rank of Captain from the Baltimore Police Department after more than 29 years of service. He is a Life Member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
Since his retirement he has become an independent security consultant and attained a CPP certification, the gold standard in security management. He has worked for a local Business Improvement District as director of field operations, managing community safety programs. and also worked at the Maryland Institute College of Art and the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in supervisory security positions.
- Gerard Busnuk has been providing expert witness services to the legal community for over 10 years. He offers his expertise to counsel representing both plaintiff and defendant. He has read hundreds of crime reports and has testified in court many times.
Mr. Busnuk is a member the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) and is a member of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC), an organization committed to objectivity and impartial recommendations regarding security situations. The organization is also committed to professional standards of objectivity and impartial opinions when providing services as expert witnesses in support of litigation. He has been designated as an expert in security in Baltimore Circuit Court.
He splits his time between Baltimore and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
