Legal and Technical

Stutchman Forensic Lab is a state-of-the-art forensic audio, video and imaging laboratory operated by Gregg Stutchman and Steve Buller. They provide services to clients throughout the entire USA.

Gregg has worked in the criminal justice system since 1973 a police officer, a State Licensed Investigator and since 1992, as a forensic analyst when he opened the lab. Gregg has progressively continued his education and training in forensic technology. Over the past 15 years he has conducted forensic analysis on several thousand audio and video recording. Gregg’s expertise also includes all phases of forensic photography. He testifies extensively as an expert witness throughout the United States in state and federal court as well as in depositions.

Steve has worked in the forensic audio and video field since 1998. He began his forensic career by working with Gregg Stutchman while attending college. Steve has completed numerous Forensic Audio and Video Certification trainings, and is a member of the American College of Forensic Examiners (AFCE) and the American Board of Recorded Evidence. Mr. Buller has co-presented lectures with Gregg Stutchman on forensic audio and video issues at professional conferences and meetings throughout California and Nevada. Mr. Buller specialty is directed towards Forensic Video Enhancement and Analysis. His work has resulted in the successful outcome of countless criminal and civil litigations.

Wes Dooley's longtime passion for audio has infused his company, Audio Engineering Associates (AEA), with a well balanced blend of creativity and technical expertise for forty years. At the core of AEA is a genuine interest in the art and science of audio. Barry G. Dickey is the certified forensic expert for Audio Evidence Lab, a laboratory specializing in the Analysis of Audio / Video Evidence. Mr. Dickey has examined evidence in over 1000 cases in the USA and Europe. He has provided expert testimony on issues involving both audio and video evidence. Utilizing DSP technology, analytical equipment, and microscopic resolution, Mr. Dickey employs scientifically accepted techniques to provide the critical evidence required in the courtroom.

Bruce E. Koenig is the senior examiner and owner of BEK TEK LLC. He has been involved in the Forensic Analysis of Audio and Video Recordings on a full-time basis since 1974. Mr. Koenig & his associates conduct forensic examinations of audio and video media (analog and digital) to authenticate recordings, improve intelligibility, identify/classify voice and non-voice signals, and compare voice samples.

Dr. Stanfield has served as an expert witness and consulted on cases of Occupational Hearing Loss, Traumatic Hearing Loss, Audibility and the Law. He has also testified in several states with cases involving Educational Planning and the Appropriate Placement for Hearing Impaired Children.
