Dr. Merrill is experienced in the diagnosis and care of all types of cancer and has special expertise in the diagnosis and care of patients with blood disorders such as anemia, abnormal blood cell counts, clotting disorders and bleeding disorders. He believes that spending time with patients and getting to know them is the most rewarding aspect of medicine. He has always felt that the key to a good doctor/patient relationship is a sense of humor and honesty spoken in the kindest way possible. The greatest compliment he has received was from a patient who described him as a “blue collar doctor”.
