Harry Munns is an internationally recognized expert in the field of Boats, Boating Business, Boater Education, and Maritime Law. A United States Coast Guard for 35 years, Mr. Munns has extensive coastal and offshore sailing experience throughout the United States and Caribbean. He has been the Captain of numerous private and commercial, power and sail vessels to 90 feet.
Mr. Munns boating education credentials include design, implementation, and maintenance of a worldwide education system. In conjunction with the U.S. Coast Guard, he was instrumental in creating national boating safety education standards beginning in 2000 and continuing until 2020.
Two terms as an appointed city harbor commissioner overseeing operation, planning and construction of a small craft harbor and associated facilities have given Mr. Munns a unique insight into working within a municipal environment. His terms as commissioner and chair also afforded him extensive participation in the development of recreational boating facilities.
