Principal, Albert L. DeBonis, PhD
, has over 30 years of experience in the field of Wood Science/Engineering
and Construction Technology
. Dr. DeBonis served as the Manager of Engineering Research and Development for the Western Wood Products Association (WWPA) and taught at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University Department of Forest Products. He has carried out both basic and applied research over the years on many products, but his current focus is on the proper use of wood products in construction.
Dr. DeBonis has authored numerous articles and delivered seminars and presentations on topics within his area of expertise. Subjects have include the application of wood-based materials, the evaluation of wood piles, and the preliminary investigation of structural wood components.
