Nancy M. Major, MD, has been a board-certified, fellowship-trained Musculoskeletal Radiologist for 20 years, having spent nearly all in an academic position. Dr. Major's area of research interest is musculoskeletal imaging with a concentration in sports-related injuries, musculoskeletal tumors, and biomechanics associated with injuries.
Dr. Major completed radiology residency at UCSF and musculoskeletal (MSK) fellowship training at Duke University where she remained on faculty for 13 years. While there, she taught residents, fellows, med students, and an undergraduate class (Radiology of Sports Injuries). Dr. Major then moved on to the University of Pennsylvania to become the chief of MSK radiology. After a couple of years, she chose to look more at the business side of the practice and worked with a 25 person orthopedic specialty group in Allentown, PA as their radiologist.
