CLIENT OVERVIEW

This industrial machinery manufacturer in Indiana manufactures food cutting machines and distributes them worldwide. Everything is manufactured in Indiana, but the company’s distributors are located across the globe.

CLIENT NEEDS

The company’s current ERP system was a homegrown system, and the company was quickly outgrowing it. The company needed a new ERP system to standardize and improve its manufacturing processes, especially its manufacturing planning process. At the time, each department had its own planning processes.

OUR APPROACH

The Panorama team assessed the company’s current state and led the ERP selection process. This involved:

  • Understanding current pain points
  • Gathering requirements (i.e., configure-to-order capabilities)
  • Process improvement and future state mapping
  • Determining a short list of four vendors
  • Writing demo scripts and conducting eight days of demos
