Douglas L. Seemann, BCE,  is a Board Certified Entomologist (BCE) with expertise in Applied Forensic Urban Entomology and Pest Control Practices, and holds several Pest Control Licenses in California and Arizona. Mr. Seemann recently held the Qualifying licenses for 2 southern California pest control companies and currently, an Arizona School District. He previously held licenses in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey and additionally managed pest control branches in New Mexico, Texas, Nevada, and Sonora Mexico.  

A graduate of the University of Connecticut where he focused on medical entomology and parasitology, Mr. Seemann has served as Technical Director, Manager, VP and Owner of Pest Control companies across the country since 1983, and is currently the Technical Director of a pest control company in Arizona.

Mr. Seemann has been a consultant since 2000 and served as the Arizona Governor's appointed State Entomologist Advisor to the Arizona Office of Pest Management, and is on the BCE Continuing Education Committee for the Entomological Society of America. He was one of the authors of the Arizona State Pest Control Certification Manual, has written numerous articles in the trade publications, and taught Pest Management as Associate Professor at the State University of New York. 

Litigation Support - Douglas Seemann has served as an expert witness in numerous cases and have found that these cases rarely go to trial and typically result in a settlement once the conclusions and the supporting data are presented. If it does become necessary to appear in court or deposition, he is well prepared and qualified to do so with extensive public speaking, educational, and instructive experience. 

Mr. Seemann has represented both Plaintiffs and Defendants in numerous civil cases. To date, in cases where he was allowed to testify, none of his clients, plaintiffs or defendants, have lost a case.

Dr. Glenn Prestwich  is a National Academy of Inventors fellow with over 45 years of experience as a professor, entrepreneur, and biotech startup C-suite executive. Dr. Prestwich specializes in Biomedical Intellectual Property. He has been a prolific inventor since 1977, and an expert witness in IP law cases since 2007. He is an inventor on over 95 patents and patent applications, including 48 issued patents.

Litigation Support - Dr. Prestwich brings to all legal and technical cases a deep appreciation for how chemistry informs the invention and development of products that offer solutions to problems in the life sciences and medicine, ranging from disease detection and treatment to tissue healing and regeneration. He has co-authored  over 610 additional peer-reviewed articles in the scientific literature, and written over 50 single-author scientific publications, reviews and book chapters. Ted W. Simon, PhD, DABT, is an award winning Environmental Toxicologist and Scientist. His expertise is in toxicology, risk assessment, mathematical modeling, statistics, neuroscience, and environmental / ecological health issues.

Dr. Simon has over 10 years of experience as a toxicologist employed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). He served as EPA’s senior toxicologist in the waste management division working on risk and soil cleanup.

Teaching Experience - Since 2001, Dr. Simon has served as an Instructor / Adjunct Professor in the Department of Environmental Health Science, College of Public Health, at the University of Georgia.

Public Speaker - Well published, including the author of a textbook on toxicology and environmental risk assessment, Dr. Simon has extensive national and international public speaking experience. Since 1996, he has been delivering seminars and lectures to universities and national institutes on many subjects within his area of expertise. In 2016, he delivered a lectures on “Bayesian Methods for Application of Uncertainty Factors,” to the Society of Toxicology Annual Meeting, New Orleans, LA, and “Quantitative Prediction of Phenotypic Change from High Throughput Assay Results,” to the EPA's Workshop on In Vitro to In Vivo Extrapolation, Research Triangle Park, NC.

Litigation Support - Dr. Simon has over 15 years of experience offering expert witness services to counsel representing both plaintiff and defendant. He has been retained over 20 times since 2000 for cases involving environmental risk, drug and alcohol cases, DUI, accidental poisoning, and intellectual property. Dr. William R. Sawyer  is a Professional Toxicologist with a doctorate in toxicology from Indiana University School of Medicine. He has over 34 years of extensive experience in Public Health and Forensic Toxicology with specialized expertise in causation analyses (plaintiff and defendant) including Alcohol toxicology, Drugs-of-Abuse, Pharmaceuticals, Herbal Products, Dioxins, Solvents, Heavy Metals, Crude Oil and other Chemicals. Dr. Sawyer has testified in trial or deposition in over 30 states including NY, MA, CT, PA, RI, NH, DE, NJ, WV, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, MS, LA, AR, MO, KY, IN, IL, WI, MI, OH, MN, MT, WA, CA, TX, OK. 

As a skilled scientist and communicator in the area of toxic tort, Dr. Sawyer provides services to governmental agencies, corporations, select plaintiffs or defendants. Stephen M. Vantassel (ACE) provides expertise in Vertebrate Pest Control situations (i.e. wildlife pests with a spine) relating to industry practices, injury, pesticide use (e.g. rodenticides and fumigants), mechanical controls (e.g., traps, shooting, direct management), and habitat modification.

Stephen has assisted in cases involving skunks, bats, and birds. Since the 1990s, Stephen has wildlife control advice through training, research, publications, and/or consultation.
