Dr. Jonathan S. Rutchik, MD, MPH
, is one of the few physicians in the USA who is board certified in both Neurology and in Occupational and Environmental Medicine
. He also has a masters in public health. Dr. Rutchik specializes in consulting and treating Neurological Illnesses or Injuries
secondary to work exposure, accident, or environmental injury. His clients include industry, government, academia, legal groups, attorneys, and pharmaceutical industries.
Dr. Rutchik performs Electromyography and Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing
, IMEs, QMEs, AOE and AMEs as well as fitness for duty evaluations. Dr. Rutchik is also available for record review and utilization review. He is listed on a number of well known MPN networks for worker’s compensation.
Dr. Rutchik has worked with such entities as the Department of Labor in Washington, DC on The Blood Borne Pathogens Standard, the NIOHS on on health hazard evaluations involving carbon disulfide, lead, and arsenic toxicity, and the US Public Health Service on general and preventive medicine. He presently serves as a consultant to The Disability Management Services of Prudential Insurance and is working with The World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland on a proposal for an Occupational Toxicology Training Manual for underdeveloped countries.
Dr. Rutchik has lectured to various audiences and presented academic papers on Neurology Data Collection, Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, Ethylene oxide, Perchloroethylene, Lead Neurotoxicity, Toxicology of the Visual System, Neurological Sequellae of Chlorinated Ethylenes, Practical Occupational and Environmental Neurology, and Neurotoxicology.
