Kari F. Jerge, MD, FACS, is a General Surgeon, dual Board Certified in General Surgery and Trauma / Surgical Critical Care. She has additional subject matter expertise elective and Emergent General Surgery, Surgical Critical Care (ICU medicine), and Trauma Surgery.
Dr. Jerge's background includes extensive experience in pre-hospital care of trauma patients, including care provided by Fire and EMS services before patient reaches hospital. She has been in independent practice for over 10 years in a variety of settings including rural, private, and large academic practices. Dr. Jerge is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the premier professional society of surgeons. She is also a member of several national societies including EAST, NAEMT and AWS. Dr. Jerge has served as a regional, national, and international speaker on topics such as prehospital and in-hospital trauma care.
Litigation Support - Dr. Jerge is passionate about providing timely, objective expert opinions on medical malpractice cases on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants. She is known for a particular gift for translating complex surgical disease processes and surgical decisions into language understandable by legal teams and juries. She has solid experience with chart review, deposition, and expert witness testimony.
