Meyer R. Rosen, FRSC, FAIC, CPC, CChE, is a leading creative consultant for the Legal Profession and specialty Chemical / Personal Care Industries. He is the Founder & President of Interactive Consulting, Inc. (www.chemicalconsult.com). 

Meyer is a Forensic Litigation expert for both plaintiff and defense in hazardous chemicals, products liability, personal injury, spa injuries, bleaching, hair coloring, fires and explosions, intellectual property and trade secret cases. He also provides Technical Marketing, New Business Development, Technical Consulting and Professional Editing services internationally to the Specialty Chemical, Personal Care, Cosmetic, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, and Allied Industries. 

Meyer also has 15 years of experience as a Professor of Fire Technology at Westchester Community College. Mr. Rosen is Editor- in- Chief of Harry’s Cosmeticology, 9th Ed. Rudolph Johnson, PhD, is a Chemical Toxicologist with over 20 years of experience in analytical chemistry and toxicological investigations. Dr. Johnson's past experience includes directing the (1) clinical toxicology network, LRN-C, at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and (2) the Military Exposures Research Program at the US Department of Veterans Affairs. Currently, he serves as the Director of the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene and has a faculty appointment at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Pathology.

Dr. Johnson focuses on two specialty areas:

(A) Toxicology: He offers causation opinions connecting dose, analytical detection, and biomarker findings to determine whether and to what extent an individual was exposed to a chemical or toxin.  The chemical or toxin may be inhaled, ingested or injected. This includes drug and alcohol testing.

(B) Laboratory Testing: He critiques or defends laboratory testing methodology, chain-of-custody, and quality assurance practices. He is an expert at evaluating conflicting testing data between two labs.

Litigation Support - Dr. Johnson works with plaintiff and defense litigation attorneys on toxic tort, product liability, and environmental and occupational exposure cases requiring causation analysis. He supports criminal defense and plaintiffs reviewing drug exposures (opioids, fentanyl analogs, polypharmacy) and alcohol testing. This includes chain-of-custody, and quality practices. Conflicting or inconsistent laboratory data, especially between multiple laboratories, is a specialty area of Dr. Johnson because he previously directed multiple clinical toxicology labs.

Dr. Johnson detects, quantifies, and interprets chemical and toxic exposure in human clinical samples. He is skilled in translating investigative information into causation opinions, connecting dose, biomarker significance, and clinical outcome—for poisoning, occupational, environmental, and mass-casualty toxicology cases.

Mark Franklin has over 28 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety Management, Training and Consulting-across many industries, including construction, manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical and others. Mr. Franklin has applied industry experience in chemical emergency response, hazardous waste management, safety and environmental program management, OSHA regulatory compliance, and management program auditing (safety, quality, environmental).Mr. Franklin is a highly experienced, dynamic trainer in over 80 individual training topics.

Litigation Support - Mr. Franklin owns the Cove Acre expert witness practice. He leverages his years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety management, consulting, and training for his expert witness clients. He has investigated over 150 incidents, including serious injuries, fatality, chemical spills, and equipment and facility damage. Mr. Franklin's services are available to attorneys representing plaintiff and defendant. Mr. Franklin provides site review, thorough reporting, depositions, and trial testimony as needed.

Forensic Consulting Experience

Warehouse Distribution Facility – Maryland - Evaluated a $10M (million) claim relating to purported construction defect claims by the 600,000 sq. ft. facility owner against the facility construction contractor and an original equipment manufacturer relating to installed infrastructure in the facility. Developed an expert opinion and expert report regarding the analysis of the purported defects and a proposed repair solution to correct said defects. 

 Psychiatric Hospital Facility – North Carolina – Evaluated a $28M (million) construction claim by the general contractor against a hospital facility concerning a $100M facility construction project.  Developed an expert opinion and report for general construction issues, constructability, design revisions, and corresponding delay analysis for mechanical, HVAC, electrical, smoke and fire, structural, security and building automation systems.

Dr. Glenn Prestwich  is a National Academy of Inventors fellow with over 45 years of experience as a professor, entrepreneur, and biotech startup C-suite executive. Dr. Prestwich specializes in Biomedical Intellectual Property. He has been a prolific inventor since 1977, and an expert witness in IP law cases since 2007. He is an inventor on over 95 patents and patent applications, including 48 issued patents.

Litigation Support - Dr. Prestwich brings to all legal and technical cases a deep appreciation for how chemistry informs the invention and development of products that offer solutions to problems in the life sciences and medicine, ranging from disease detection and treatment to tissue healing and regeneration. He’s been involved in intellectual property litigation that concern medical devices, diagnostics, new pharmaceuticals, drug delivery, agrochemicals, and consumer products.

Glenn D. Prestwich on Accessible and Experienced Expert Witnesses

Publications - Dr. Prestwich is an organized, clear, and effective writer. He has co-authored  over 610 additional peer-reviewed articles in the scientific literature, and written over 50 single-author scientific publications, reviews and book chapters. His publications encompass areas such diverse topics as anti-cancer drugs, gels for wound repair, cell therapy, and regenerative medicine, insect and pest control agents, cholesterol-lowering agents, lipids and cell signaling tools, and anti-inflammatory agents.

Dr. Charles R. Anderson has long specialized in the Characterization of Surfaces, Interfaces, Thin Films and Coatings. Since 1972 he has applied surface and near-surface analysis techniques such as x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS or ESCA) and Auger microprobe to the solution of surface chemistry and coating problems. 

Dr. Anderson worked for the U.S. Navy and Lockheed Martin Laboratories prior to starting his own laboratory in 1995. He served as an officer of the ASTM Committee E-42 on Surface Analysis and as U.S. Expert on several sub-committees of the ISO Technical Committee 201 on Surface Chemical Analysis. He especially enjoys integrating the results of multiple analytic techniques (surface analysis, thermal analysis, FTIR, SEM/EDX, optical microscopy)to solve tough materials problems.

Litigation Support -  Dr. Anderson has extensive experience in materials science as a result of solving the materials problems of many industries with the aid many analytical techniques. He is available to provide Expert Witness Services for legal matters involving Materials Failure, Intellectual Property Theft, Misrepresentation, Failure to Meet Contract Specifications, Materials Identifications and Characteristics, or Quality Issues.
