Jordan L. Newmark, MD, QME, is an ABA double Board-Certified Anesthesiologist (anesthesiology and pain medicine), President & CEO of E&S Newmark Consulting, and Expert Witness focused on the practice of medicine and Qualified Medical Evaluations (QMEs). Dr. Newmark has over 15 years of clinical and training experience and has been providing consulting services since 2009.
Currently an adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Stanford University School of Medicine, Dr. Newmark previously served as Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology of Alameda Health System. A practicing anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist, his clinical interests are in chronic and acute pain management, interdisciplinary / procedural pain treatment, team-based approaches to patients with dual acute or chronic pain and substance use disorders, qualified medical evaluation to injured workers, as well as anesthesia for orthopedic, spine, and neurosurgery.
Dr. Newmark's academic interests involve immersive based learning, trainee performance, and patient outcomes and safety. He continues to develop pain medicine simulation scenarios and other educational programs within the Stanford Division of Pain Medicine, as well as treat patients while supervising pain medicine fellows.
Litigation Support - Dr. Newmark has been retained as an expert witness in multiple cases involving acute and chronic pain, as well as opioid safety and risk. He is also a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) within the California Department of Workers' Compensation. His services include QMEs, thorough reporting, depositions, and trial testimony as needed.
